UPDATE: May 7, 2013

Our newest issue of Faire Magazine is now available: Issue SEVEN. Make sure you download your copy before they're all sold out because they're free. LOL (Laugheth out-Loudeth).

As the 2013 season begins, make sure you check out our Faire Magazine Events Calendar which will show you all of the major Ren events for the next few months. We've painstakenly checked each one to make sure that the event IS indeed happening and the link we provide is live and correct.

If you ever find an event that we need to add, please let us know and we'll make sure to check it and list it prior to it coming around again on the calendar.

As always, if you want to contact the publisher, please email Sir Black Fox at: Publisher@FaireMagazine.com.

Potential Advertisers Expect Quality

I realize that this is just a few days before we close the books on Faire Magazine #7 and get it on the site to be downloaded by literally thousands of interested readers, but I wanted to make something clear to our advertisers. . . so I sent them this note:

What's the one thing we share? Quality. . . because we care.
Whether it's the quality of what you create or the quality of your customer care when re-selling items made elsewhere, we both care about our Renaissance Faire hobby and through our products, help others enjoy themselves as much as we do.
It's not so much who we are or what we do that's important, it's why we do it that matters.  We wouldn't do it if we didn't love it and you want to be surrounded by businesses, large and small, who also find gratification in how a product (or service) is enjoyed by others.  That's what Faire Magazine is all about as well.
Selling a $25 for a quarter-page ad that will be seen by thousands doesn't make us rich but it does show Rennies that we care by providing a place for vendors, even those who don't have a marketing budget at all, to advertise.  We want everyone involved, in order to build upon the care and commitment shared by all.
Faire Magazine takes this a step further, we'll design your ad at NO additional charge?  Why? because we love to create.  We enjoy putting a successful ad together that has the same look and feel as the magazine.  We want you to be a part of our growing, international Rennie family.
We're not pushing you to advertise with us, we just want you to know that if you would like to reach thousands of like-minded potential customers, Faire Magazine is a very inexpensive way to do so.  The readers download and read every issue for FREE and since there's no printing or mailing involved with our new digital version, we've cut the ad prices 90%   (and reaching an international audience).

In this day and age when a lot of folks expect to pay extra for shipping or luggage handling or food freshness, I thought it was time to point out that some things ARE free.  My wife is eternally telling me not to "give away" the advertising art as part of an ad purchase.  The problem is that I've been addicted to Photoshop™ since I first Beta-tested it on an old Mac Quadra back in 1993.  I jump at ANY chance to play with the software in the creative process.

I just hope folks enjoy the art, whether it be in the layout of the magazine or the advertisements I get to create.
